New to the forum and fairly new to the buggy world. I am an experienced fabricator with a small fab shop in Metro Detroit. I've designed and built quite a few drift trikes but I think it's time for a mini buggy to take on the trails of northern Michigan. My plan is to build a two seat buggy that will fit in the bed of a pickup truck and it will be powered by a fuel injected v twin Harley motor. I look forward to sharing my progress and reading about other people's buggys. Here are some pictures of the trikes I built.

KICK ASS TRIKES!!! Welcome to the forum! I am on the west side of the mitten. The only downfall with a Harley motor is keeping it cool....UNLESS you were thinking of a V-rod motor. THAT would be something cool to see. Several members here have used the Suzuki, and Honda v-twins, A little hard to package into a frame, but it's only metal, and it can be done.

Thanks! It'll be a brand new sportster 883 that I took as a partial trade for one of my trikes. I'll probably incorporate some type of air scoop aimed toward the motor but I'm not too worried about keeping it cool. I've put a ton of miles on my old sportster and almost 50k on my street glide and I've yet to overheat (knock on wood lol)

    Welcome Built.

    Nice work on the trikes.

Is that an indoor drift course in the top right photo? LOL!

From up in the Yoop myself, and I just gotta say I've always thought it'd be pretty sweet to see a mini buggy coming and hear the rumble of a Harley haha I'm looking forward to your build

Kind of lol that was taken at the 2016 Autorama in Detroit where that trike took second place in its category. I did get to do a little drifting before and after inside Cobo Hall
