Racing Dreamz is looking into the possibility of purchasing land to host organized SxS racing for youngsters. If we can do this, we plan on having one directional trails, rally raid style racing. Meaning, no wheel to wheel racing, only timed starts and timed laps. The course would be over about 45-50 acres. All of this, at this time, would be in upper east Tennessee. My question(poll) is, would you, as a family with children who drives mini UTV's/buggys, be interested in this family style racing for the kids?
Please feel free to reply with your suggestions and comments.
We hope to have 3 age groups. From ages 8-10, 11-13, 14-16. 150cc, 250cc and open class for the older kids. But they must be driving a mini SxS.
We need your response so that we know how to proceed.
Thank you...

when my son hits 8yrs old(roughly 7yrs from now), i will be doing this if he is wanting to. but, for those that have kids eligable now, what is classified as a 'mini utv/mini sxs/buggy'? i only know of two mini sxs's: rzr 170 and a clone of the rzr 170. or do you mean anything mini? and would you have motor limits?

Wheels, the minis would be the 150cc clones(Pitster Pro, Avenger, etc), the 170's, import buggys, TK's(6.5 & 13HP), ProtoDie Kids karts, etc. The older age group, we could have an 'open' class as along as it's along the same engine size range.

the 16 yr old age group would require mini sxs's? because at 16 most kids are well into there growth spurt, (I'm just over 6') I don't think it would be comfortable

Mack, the older age group, or open, would be able to use buggys as long as the engines are along the same size. I know the older kids would be kinda cramped in the little UTVs. Kinda like bears riding tricycles.

This s a great thing , I would like to see more areas adopt the youth racing SXS class . I have been watching and reading to lean about options for this size SXS . I am determined to build my grand son an over the top mini SXS . I am having trouble finding plans for sale that are worth the effort .
With more tracks available you would help promote the class and in turn promote a safer way for our youth to race .
