I'd say that's the definition of high centered.

Didn't JGS have a thread on a lightweight, high lift air jack that he built?

It was clunky and cumbersome. Took lots of pressure to lift and would bind on uneven terrain.
They're sitting some where in a corner lol. IF I ever build the DRV (dune recovery vehicle)/sand truggy I might be tempted to build V2 but would want screw jacks instead of air or air over hydro.

Why don't you just carry an exhaust jack with ya?

Yea, that's what I was thinking Rat - but carrying it's a pain.

The bottle jack that I have has proven to work well - lift one corner at a time, stick rocks in the hole, etc.. It's just slow.

There's no doubt that we could have gotten the XP out of it's spot, but it was easier to just walk back to camp and have dinner (we were both hungry and didn't want to become hangry) and worry about getting it out later.

It was getting dark and that was going to make the entire thing a bit more "entertaining". Fortunately Robyn's right along side when it comes to having a little "Adventure", so we turned everything off, pulled the key out of the ignition and walked on back. She got some spectacular sunset pictures on the way back to camp too.

Highlifts are just about the sketchiest jack ever. No one in my group uses them after a bad situation that could have put a friend in the hospital if it wasn't for extremely good luck and timing.

I have seen more than a few people whacked by those infernal inventions. The make them work well, they must be oiled. Not the best situation on something that sees a lot of dust and dirt..........

The hi lift jack is the way to go off roaders have them all time in trucks jeeps etc and can be mounted to roll cage or pretty much anywhere! plus they can be used as winch and have many add ons. Expensive but functional they are simular to the old bumper jack shown but are beefier lots beefier

I had one for my jeep years ago and really liked it. I've been thinking about getting the smaller/shorter version for my teryx.

The SuperATV high clearance trailing arms showed up earlier this week. Had some time to get them installed finally.

Straight forward installation - 10 bolts each side.

My daughter's boyfriend really did dork the right side one. Not sure what he hit but there's no doubt it was bent.

The red one on the right is way up compared to the rest. I clamped the carrier plate to my build table so I know all four plates are parallel to check everything out:

Still have to get the rear tires on and do some alignment stuff on both ends, but overall, it was pretty quick and easy to put them on.

I could have made a set, but bang for the buck, these are pretty hard to beat. I'm getting lazy!
