I don't believe my gearing is what you need.

When this thing is made with a strong spring to hold in forward and a hydraulic throw out bearing from a car or truck, operated by a long hand lever or a foot pedal to engage reverse , that will be the ultimate FNR unit. I like the idea that a planetary gear set can always be engaged ( don't need to slide any dog gear). Something like a power glide but CNC made case made to only hold planetary set for forward & reverse ,mechanical shifted by applying pressure to clutches( motorcycle style) with throw out bearing to
apply pressure to the other clutches to reverse only while pushing the pedal or pulling the lever.

I wish my brain was big enough to think this out and draw it up. There is enough brain power on this site to figure out a planetary gear FNR set up , it would be good to use existing parts and i would like to have one but not try to build one.

I wonder if someone out there has built a FNR with planetary gears already and we haven't heard about it yet.

I seem to recall a guy from France posting some small planetary box on the Facebook group.

Jeffco. The reverse part of the unit was bullet proof. The chains driving the diff were problematic.

Tex had one in his minibuggy.
