    Hello all
My VW powered buggy I had 32/11.50/15's on the back, way to big for stock 1600 and gearing so I switched back to a 225/75r/15, works out about right they are 27" tall but I would like a little wider without going taller, not easy to find so I started looking at UTV tires and ran across these maxxis ceros radial tire 27/11/15's they have a load capacty of about 1000 lbs . Any reason I couldn't run them on a standard 15" wheel non beadlock? . It would be a lot easier and cheaper than swapping ring and pinion or big bore stroked engine

That is a nice looking tire, could get interesting drifting with swing axle setup.

Well bit the bullet and ordered a pair so we shall see how well they work. i did call the dealer first about mounting them on a standard 15" wheel and he said it will work fine. I'm just not sure what size and backspace I want to run yet so I will try an old pair of 15/8 with 2" back space and go from there .

I am impressed with the performance of these, they measure about 26" + tall and handle good on swing axle . I like em so much I ordered the fronts 27/9 and a set of the old white star wheels 15/7 fronts and 15/8 rears with 3.5" backspace . Lost a little ground clearance but gained a lot if low end torque

Cool, the ITP ultracross gets good reviews too, the tread is a little tighter than the ceros, but it comes in the same size.

Yep the ITP's look good too, I just went with these because of the diameter and weight capacity. I got the new back rims and center caps installed just waiting on one more rim and the front tires to show up. after I get them installed I will post a picture. I think I may covert this one to IRS, I have the arms.plates, bars, and trans just need to figure out if I want type 2 or 930 cv's , I'm thinking with stock length and width arms the type 2 should be good with the type 1 trans

I got side tracked playing with carburetors after I got the tires on , anyway the tires worked out great , with the stock 1 barrel carb it pulled ok in 4th gear and now that I have dual 36 dellorto carbs plus upgrade 009 distributor with electronic ignition it really scoots, took a while to get it dialed in but I can say it was well worth it .
