    Hi All,
I'm getting ready to order a set of tires for the AR51 and wanted to hear some opinions before I pull the trigger. I already have the wheels, I have American Racing aluminum rims in 14x6 front and 14x7 rear. I'm wanting to get a 6 or 8 ply all terrain tire and am looking at using the GBC Kanati Mongrel in 28x10x14 on the rear. I'm a bit torn on the front tires as I dont want them to look more aggressive than the rear, maybe I shouldnt worry about that but.... I was looking at the Maxxis Ceros and EFX Motogrip in 26x9x14 for the front but these look like they are a more aggressive tire than the Mongrels. The other tire that looks like it would look good for the front is the Maxxis Razr 4-speed in 26x9x14 but its a light weight tire and I want good solid tires on this thing since this buggy will be capable of some very high speeds.

Thoughts? Opinions on the rear tire selection?

I just ordered ITP Mudlite XLs for mine. The lighter the better. I heard somewhere that Maxxis tires don't last as long. If you want a tire that'll last and don't mind paying for em, I'd say ITP 589s are the way to go. Jmo.

If lighter is better, then you need to check out drag wheels. I'm running Weld Draglite wheels, unbelievably light and plenty of used available.

Not much feedback here so I went ahead and ordered the tires. I ordered GBC Kanati Mongrel in 28x10x14 for the rear and Maxxis Razr 4-speed in 26x9x14 for the front. I sure hope these work out well. Crossing my fingers

Looking for more of an all terrain tire as I dont expect or want to play in the mud much with this buggy.

Already got the wheels deaner. They are pictured in my original post and do feel pretty light.

I couldn't offer any advice because I have no experience. Just a middle aged noob.

You shouldn't have any problems, as far as I can tell. Don't think of it as money wasted if you aren't satisfied with them. It's just like anything else, trial and error always costs SOMETHING. But learning is PRICELESS.
