Rear A-arm VS. Trailing arm suspension

Can anybody tell me the pros & cons of rear A-arm or trailiing arm suspensions .... when i bought my buggy the builder swore by a-arm ... that it has better handling ... due to less rear roll .... i am very happy with the handing.... but i am starting to plan on another build and would like to know what are the benefits of trailing arms. Since i see so many buggys using them ... any info would be greatly appreceated !
