ST4 Based Buggy Up & Running

Thanks to everyone on this forum for sharing their knowledge particularly around suspension, this was a life saver. My ST4 based Subaru buggy is finally in the finishing stages.

I'll admit it isn't much of a true ST4 anymore but I give credit for the inspiration from the original plans. She runs an EG33 with a 5MT 4.44 box.

I've embedded a video below, I'm intending to post more to the channel as I get to finalize the last bits and pieces and get it out and about.

Good luck to everyone else with their builds, one foot in front of the other and you will get there...

Yeah, gotta love the sound of it. Have to put some full pipes to replace the dump pipes on it sooner or later, hope it doesn't kill that sound.

Blew a CV pretty much off the bat last time (Apparently OEM Subaru CV's are a must for anyone using a subaru transaxle) but finally got some decent time tuning and running it in. Check it out if your keen.

Gotta love this stuff. Had the car out for some decent torture testing again. Bent some stuff but nothing too serious. Mainly areas that hadn't been bulked up enough to deal with the extra weight. Rear hubs (I re-designed these) and steering mounting. Upgrade the hell out of the steering. Original plans are a bit weak there. All rebuilt but going to upgrade to all HD moly rod-ends before it goes any further.

It's a train at speed but see how clipping a solid tree or getting a log hit in the wrong spot is going to end your day pretty quick. Time for some solid a-arm bash plates I think.

Have a little corner entry understeer that I need to work out. Mid to exit cornering is sweet and nice and predictable though. Some more camber and a little toe out maybe?
