Just an update, I have successfully been assigned a VIN number, now I just need to install it and get a cop to inspect that I did it right and I can apply for a title and registration. I guess I should hurry up with the new control arms

So far the process has been easier than expected, I didn't know if I'd be able to pull it off

Can you go into the engine wiring a little bit? This build is turning my wheels so to speak. LOL

What would you like to know? I run a microsquirt ecu and I did make my own harness.

While I'm here, I made a quick video of me and a few buddies playing with the buggy and we might have made a sketch ramp out of plywood and cinder blocks like little kids

Did you use all of the OEM sensors and plugs and then spliced everything to the microsquirt main connector? Ive extended harnesses but never built one from scratch. Did you have to tune the ECU or are there base maps to get going?
Seems like an awesome set up (especially the turbo noises). Probably the coolest thing is using the VW trans and the Ford engine. Seems like the way to go on a budget.
