If you are running trails and dirt roads then 750 has plenty of power if you are planning to play in the sand then more is better.

With the Raptor 700 making about the same amount of torque, but at a much lower RPM make it usable though? Comes with it's own reverse.
I was in the middle of building a 2 seater fl350 Honda Odyssey with a raptor 660 motor, when I had a chainsaw accident and had to sell it.

Sorry about that. Hope you are ok! did you ever get to drive the buggy? if so was it enough power for the one seater?

If you gear it it deep, it'll work. The website says a minimum of a 600cc engine, but recommends larger. Sport bike engines need to be revved up and not lugging it. So gearing will help a lot. A larger engine will just help get you going and keep you going in challenging terrain.

Would a 60 tooth rear sprocket and the stock motor sprocket on the engine be a good gear ratio for the 100hp and 1000lbs?
