Man Erwin,
I can't wait until they arrive. I ordered them from an E-Bay store that is called Dirt Cheap Shocks. The guys name is Bryan. His Phone number is 858 231 6449. He has 2 Fox 2.0's just like mine only with the old BLUE caps for $350 for the pair. That's 10 Inch travel. Wheel travel will be like 18 or 19 inches I think is what Rick said...I could be making a mistake...Rick?
Shocks might be here Sat but likey it'll be more like next Thursday...ugh. tick tock.Glock n Ballz

I have been reading Erwins threads pretty neat. He has already done his rear but I thought I would give you a heads up. You can buy rear bearing housings for about 50.00 that take VW stub axels with 930 cups and bearings. I have the same thing on my full size and have many years of fun no problems They are about 2 7/8 across. I am bulding a ST2 (just gathering parts). I'll have to check to see how much mod it will need to fit. With the VW stubs you can put disc brakes on for about 250.00 they are 4 on 130mm bolt pattern but there is alot of room to drill new pattern any size you want or go with VW Wheel Same goes for the front stub axel are about 25.00 then you can run spindle mount rims
look at Dans Proformance under Suspension Acc I'll have to figure out how to insert pics

Curt,
Thank you for the tip. However, I am not building the rear suspension to B/P. (blue print) Plans call out double a arm..Im choosing to deviate from the plans and fab up semi trailing arms for my rear. My engine is sitting where the center axle is located if you go by the plans.. My rear bearing carrier will be located approx 24 inches aft of what is called out. My ST2 is gonna be LOOOONG. bout 12 of 13 feet prolly.
These are what Erwin shoulda done. But I think Erwin is in this pickle because he started with an Opal diff instead of starting with hubs. (doesnt matter about it being Opal, its just that he shoulda started at the hubs and work his way in.) Since he chose the Opal diff he now has to use axles and hubs that will fit or can be adapted to fit into his diff. His hubs require a bearing that will not fit into his "uprights". Tough spot. But i think it will work out just fine for him. He is getting good suggestions over on his thread..
Thank you again, but Im going a different direction with my rear.Last edited by Glock n Ballz; 01-06-2011 at 12:36 PM.
