Sweet! We hadn't heard from you for a while and I hoped that you had finished it. Very cool so see someone from where I grew up on here too.

Thanks Plkracer & Beruba, I think I'm going to just buy whatever # shim stacks I decide on. I found out my valving is is 40/90... which is horrible as far as body roll.

Jody, would you care to comment on your recommended shock valving set up of 90/110 ?

    Thanks

Dune trip coming up mid July. Im currently running itp sandstars with 7" wide rims... kind of narrow.
I was wondering if I can run a 12x10 4+6 offset rim (Douglas wheel Red Label) and a 13" wide dwt doonz Paddle on the protodie rear wheel kit without any interference?
There is also a 12x8 rim available but would rather go with the 10" width.
any input would be appreciated thanks.

sorry for the delay, just came across this.

90/110 is what we found worked well for us after much testing years ago.
we jumped, videoed, reviewed, re-shimmed repeat,,,repeat,,,repeat,,,repeat and this is what we found we liked.
not saying its perfect, but for us , much better than factory
to reduce body roll, max out your shock oil levels, cheap and easy and we found it improved the shocks a lot for our application.
we experimented with how many cc's of oil to add, then found that the amount of oil varied from the fox factory

so then we would take the nitro out of the shocks , jack it up and let them droop ,,,, add 100 to 150cc s of shock oil to the shock
slowly lower it to full bump to push out excess oil and then take a veterinary syringe from the farm store and suck out 5-10 more cc's of oil.
this reduced our nitro pressures and stabilized the sir shocks much more than from the factory

    Thanks for responding Jody,
I tride the 90/110 shock shim stack and it worked perfectly for the dunes, worlds apart from the stock valving. I was curious about oil volumes and will try your recommendation. I am totally thankful for your extensive testing!

I also noticed in some pictures of your red ss 1000 that your were running the DWT Doonz paddle tire, do you remember the rim size?. I really want to run a 10 inch rim but am concerned about the 4x6 offset interfering with the rear wheel kit and suspension.
