I would like to see what you come up with for a offroad stadium lite type racer.Your buggies are great i'm just curious as to how they would do on a off road track like Lake Elsinore etc...With good size jumps etc,,I have watched the video and they are very fast and I would love to drive one and it may just be me but some look a little low for an offroad track???

On the roll bar, I was just looking at the area behind the seat up top.

    Sure,,back there.
yes I do 100% agree that would be even stronger.
If I were to add more bracing in that area, I would need to angle back further, to keep proper head clearance.

The structure with ajoining tubes as is is stronger than the data you used of just the one tube.

Not looking to debate engineering , strength & saftey, because no matter what you build, someone will tell you to build it stronger.

I am 120% confident in the strength of our designs , from hitting trees, rolling, flipping, stuffing the nose jumping,,, and hitting other cars.

    Sicksand,

Hopefully a local track will build us an off road track this year.
They are talking about it ,,,but we will see.
Bobs family raceway,,the track we race for years is closed,,,,so after this car is done,,we are going to try & push harder to get an offroad track.

The single seat travel is 15-16" front travel and 14-15" rear travel.
910lbs with a 1000cc and RPM gear box
    70-72" wide and 114" long
If racing were do pick up, I could get this below 875 lbs if needed.

The 2 seat is 18-19" front travel and 14-15" rear travel.
The 1st version was 1100lbs but this new one is narrower and I expect to be a touch lighter.
    70-72" wide and 120" long

We have always built to race 1st and go to the dunes 2nd so hopefully we get a new track home soon.

We have raced the single & 2 seat against each other last year, and we were supprised to see how close they are on the track.
So our goal is to race them together in 1 class that fits in a "box"
    72" wide x 120" long

Most of the pictures you see are us set up for racing,,,and low is faster.
I prefer to only set up the car as high as needed for conditions.

here is a pic of one my biggest jumps caught on camera,,I only wish we had it on video that day.

Wow, now that's some air time...

What size paddle tires do you like best for the 600 cars? I'm still trying to figure out what to use...

Those were 21" dia and kinda small but worked well.

Now I am running all 25" tires on 12" wheels.
But this is with 1000cc motors and RPM gear box.

I actually find that regular dirt tires do awesome in the dunes.
Unless I am drag racing, they work great.
Half of our last video was with dirt tires on.
The section of video on the hi banked dune was with dirt tires,,,,the flatter drag strip area was with 26" ITP Dunestar paddles

    Click the red circled button:

Then link to a photo that has been uploaded to another server somewhere: your own website, Picasa, Photobucket, etc.

    Good Luck!

Protodie, I have just read this thread and I have always liked the design of your cars. They are some of the coolest looking cars around. Just one question, it's probably been asked before, but are you going to sell plans for this or is it just for your own personal use.

    Sweet sucess alright

    Stomper,
Yes, I have been planning on releasing plans for others to build.

The single seat plans and prints are 90% ready

This is on hold for now while we are developing the new 2 seater and some other stuff.
