You don't need a fancy fill valve. The pressure will open the schrader valve regardless. Regular chuck works just fine.

    150psi minimum.

Edit: also look on CL for bottles, any small bottle can be swapped for a nitrogen bottle at the welding supply store.

I didnt do the swap. I found it in Arizona, had it shipped to Oklahoma City via uShip. The car handles so well in the sand and the Apex really makes plenty of power for where I ride, if fact we have a ride coming up at Little Sahara OK Sept 9th thru 13th.

Update. I have been working with Dennie over at Foddrills and he is a great guy to work with. So far I have added power steering and got the shocks set up with proper springs to the proper ride height. I took it out to Little sahara here in Oklahoma and the power steering was amazing but my shocks will need some attention to the valving Im afraid.

As I type Iím out here at Little Sahara Oklahoma riding in the sand however my Yamaha apex engine keeps running hot, the only thing I did before this overheat issue was change the coolant before the ride trip, according to the snowmobile forum guys and the manual, I believe I didnít get all the air out of the coolant system, the Apex snowmobile manual has a procedure for getting the air out but it involves the snowmobiles heat exchangers so I was hoping one of the taz apex owners her could chime in on how to purge the air. Thx!!

Vacuum fill kit, ask K-fab how much fun it is to get all the air out.

I never had a problem with over heating when mine was norm aspirated but when i added the turbo the fan was running a lot more so i just added a switch to turn the fan on all the time its been like that for 6 yrs now no problems. The other thing was when rideing slower with strong wind to the back the temp light would come on but that was before adding the fan switch
