Well I have been a member of MBN for about (4) years now. I have finally gotten my car finished and starting the final assembly. I thought I would share some pictures with you guys.

    Some Little facts:
    Motor: CBR 954
    Shocks: 2.0 Kings
    Front: 18”
    Rear: 20”
    Axles/ CV: 930 CV with 300m axles (I know overkill...they were free)
Spindles & Hubs: From a 4 seat sand car

I still have a lot of little touches I want to do. Like a new air box, radiator, rear hub (FNR), body panels, etc. I can at least drive the car now, and isn’t that what matters? Let me know if there is anything else you guys want to know.

Oh and yes, before anyone ask. I did the car outside, in the dirt, in Phoenix. I will tell you right now...it sucked!

    I like it!

First off it's a single seater and seemingly full size. It appears you used off-the-shelf VW 3+3 or similar rear arms. Up front the upper heims allow for adjustment and the lower bushings on the frame for a nice solid mount and some reduced cost.

It has nice lines too and I'm looking forward to video and run reports. Interesting that it is rear steer rather than front on the spindles.

Was it self designed or from a plan?

Changes? I would add a truss under the leading tube on the A-arms.

I've built a 954 from scratch, but your scratching looks a lot better than mine!!

Looks awsome! You did very well to do that job in the facility (or lack of) that you have. I like the shape also Gene, nice lines.
Whats the wheel base and track numbers? The rear looks narrower than the front?
Damn, I can't wait to get my shed back! Maybe I should start mine, out on the fron lawn?

Agreed on the looks. Looks very cut-forward mean.

Sharp rig. I like the layout.
Now that NOBAMA has PROVEN he is the absolute WORST president in the history of history Jimmy Carter can thank him for stealing the dunce crown.

Lets hope the next guy repeals NObama care along with the rest of the stupid crap this blight on our windshield has done.

Belive me, 930's are not overkill with that 954, if you've got any kind of large rear gear.
You've buggy is gonna blow your mind when you get to drive it!!

Hey guys here are some more pictures.

To answers some of your questions: I do not know the wheel base, I will have to measure it. The front is slightly wider than the front. The wheels are set up so with a 7” rim in the back and a 4” wheel in the front the track is the same. This will make the car handle better in the desert.

Oh yeah, those are not the final wheels I will be using. They are just mock up wheels.
