The frequency comment? Higher freq usually tightens the arc up. 60 hz is ok, I like to go to 80-90 if the machine is adjustable.

If you really like to stack dimes though, 50 is perfect.

Not sure on those units, but most US export stuff is derated to work on 50HZ. They do not make special units for those country's. FWIW, I would stay away from anything blue with a circuit board in it. They cost almost as much to replace as the welder. Actually, I stay away from any welders with circuit boards in them.......

Yea no adjustment on that unit , On the DX's we run it at 85 most of the time , rarely adjust it , any more than that it is just annoying .

Wasn't sure if it was one of BDK"S riddles ,or he knew of some hidden adjustment . Had to ask .

I love the dynasty, but the syncro's are like jumping on an ya favourite old girlfriend , you know what you are gonna get, reliable , nothing too crazy.

From my perspective, the dynasty is a completely different ballgame. We welded for hours without sharpening the tungsten, and the welds were more consistent than the syncro.

Totally agree, very kind on electrodes, but they are sensitive when it does eventually loose a bit of shape.
I grind them a lot flatter than i used to,works well.
