    "When it comes to welding stainless steel, getting it too hot can cause it to lose its stainless properties.
    IF that happens, stainless wont be stainless...it will rust.
    If you are welding sanitary stainless pipe, the swab tests will fail because corrosion or rust inside a pipe will provide a place for microbes to grow.
    If you are welding a valve that goes in a pharmaceutical tank, they may have to dump thousands of dollars worth of little blue pills.
    IF you are fabricating a chemical tank out of 316L and get it too hot, its gonna leak from stress corrosion cracking way before it should.
    Stainless needs to remain stainless. So dont get it too hot.
    But its not just temperature....
    Its TIME at TEMPERATURE.
    The trick is to limit the TIME at high temperatures."
