TUTTECH "Mini Class 1 KITT" class 3000 Ecotec race car (Denver CO)
Class 10/12/3000 Ecotec 2 seat short wheelbase race car for sale. Near Denver CO, 13K.

Originally built by Tut Cote of TUTTECH Racing. Chassis was designed for BITD class 3000 Short-Wheelbase Ecotech. May also race in class 10/12/4 with some modifications. Chassis was re-worked to beef it up in 2014 and is NOT score tagged. Photos available of chassis work performed and original build log from TUTTECH available.

This buggy is built tough with high-end parts. It is a VERY competitive car racing in the Colorado CORE racing series. You can race it as-is or scavenge the parts for a class 5U build. I will consider removing things you don't want and adjusting the pricing. You better make room on your mantle for the trophies! I'm selling to build a new car for another class.

Most of the car is ready to race but needs trans rebuild or swap. Syncros are worn out and possible ring gear tooth damage. I didn't rebuild after the last race because I was considering swapping to a mendola trans.

No kidding k-fab. He built this thing using parts you normally see on a bigger beam car. Nearly indestructible!

When I swapped from vw to ecotec power I had to rework some of the frame in the motor trans area where he used 1" for the lighter vw engine. Otherwise we have beat on it and it finishes races and wins trophies. Only race we didn't finish - the fuel pump feeding the original vw engine quit and I didn't have my spare. I also replaced the kingpins after that race because the snap ring grooves were getting wallowed out from hitting whoop sections wide open in 4th. Did bushings and shock rebuild at the same time. The car was torn down completely when I moved to ecotec. I only found one cracked weld ... good welding Tut!
