Jody does make quality parts, I've bought several custom parts from him. My custom rear MLM hub adatpers are ProtoDie. Also ordered a custom type IV rear carrier along with front hubs. Fit and fisnish on everything was top notch.

Until one of three people post the details about what happened, anything posted here is nothing more then speculation and hearsay. The business dealings between Rorty and his suppliers is really none of our business IMHO. I wouldn't hold out hope or even expect any of the above mentioned members to post details either.

I agree with ProtoDie on the different thicknesses. I redesigned a few items in the R16 to use .250 instead of the .187 and .250.

The other thing I see as being a problem is configuration managment. There are different revisions flying around, the manual doesn't always agree with the drawings, and then suppliers change design. I was bit with the change over from FMS to Tatum on the front hubs.

Once I figured it out, Rorty and Kludge helped me with the information I required to fix my problem.

A single source should help to avoid those problems.

Rorty's service easily makes up for the inconsistencies in the plans.

Seeems like the thing to do would be to let those other sources know they were being dropped though. They did afterall invest time and money and then to not even be told they were dropped????What's with that?

I don't know what the arrangements were so I cannot comment. I'm just speculating on why it was done from my experience with the R16 plans.
