Some pics of my RR. Hopefully these will give other owners some ideas for upgrades. As i said in my other thread, i hate the wheelbase and will be moving the front tires forward 5 inches this winter. Currently im in middle of installation a temp gauge and regular maintenance.

That’s probably the best looking RR I’ve seen.
The glass looks like a very welcome addition.

    Nice ride!

Almost going to be sad to cut it up. Almost.
All dressed up and waiting for the beer to arrive.

Thanks guys. The glass is definitely appreciated riding in wet weather. Almost wish my redline had some kind of windshield.

You can see in the pics that the tie rods hit the body pretty bad. This only happens when i jump it pretty hard so ive been refraining from doing that. Looking at the tie rods they are angled back from the factory. Moving the front end forward will straighten everything out. Also, with the front suspension compressed and tires turned, the doors hit the tires when you open them. Poor design.

Ill fabricate new upper and lower a arms. Move to winch forwards to make a new crossmember for the shocks to move forward also. Should be easy enough.

The holes in the dash is where the temp gauge will be going. Had to move power ports (cig port and USB ports) under the dash to keep the clean look. Although the pics dont really show, the seats are out of a RZR. Probably the best upgrade so far along with the CROW harnesses.

Got the temp gauge in. On the polaris 800 engine there is only one port for a temp sensor in the head. Unfortunately the factory sensor cant be removed. So the other option is to drill and tap the thermostat housing. I swear that polaris was going to do it as there is a boss there. I wasnt too keen on the idea as its after the thermostat but it works great. Temp goes up, fan kicks on at 195, and shuts off at 175.

I chose a towmax gauge because its a full sweep digital gauge. Also, i have them
In my redline and they hold up great. Anyways, pics.

Nice, Looks OEM to me. And it's always nice when you find a "easy" fix. lol

If memory serves me, so 50-50 chance, but I thought there was a thread over on the redline blog about someone who had installed a winshield.

Nice to have another redline guy on the blog.

Well, the RR has gotten some scratches and chips in the paint over the years but i guess it all depends on how anal someone is. It still looks decent for a 13 year old buggy. Thanks for the compliment.

Frank, I might have just bought some wheels from you for my redline if your the same guy. If so then good to see you here also. Im torn on a windshield for the redline. Climbing in and out of those redlines is a whole lot different than having doors like the RR. Ill have to put a piece of plywood on the redline and see if it hinders its ingress/outgress.

On another note, the RR is done for now and the redline is in the shop about to be torn apart for upgrades.

Great looking car! Love the panels and dash with GPS. Always wishing mine had panels when making turns in a sand wash LOL! Great idea on the temp Sensor.
