You happen to be in AU one day try smelling Koalas piss. It's an odor not easily forgotten.

Keep the updates coming please. Loving it.

    Haha, I believe it!

Started re-assembly today after work. It went smoothly until I tried putting a knuckle onto an a-arm. Turns out the welding had warped the arm enough that I had to adjust the heims. After 30 minutes of fighting with the knuckle, I asked my wife to help me. I jammed a tube into the a-arm end and she flexed the arm while I “slipped” (more like rubber mallet hammered) the knuckle in. It was way too tight so I pulled it out again and am going to do some minor washer adjustments (it’s been so long I had forgotten that was the reason I put washers on either side of each heim joint (for fore and aft adjustment in case the knuckle pivots weren’t parallel). My brother came over and he gave me a hand and we adjusted some of the heims to get it to operate through the arc smoothly, but I think I’m going to turn them back to original settings and adjust washer placement instead to keep wheel alignment correct.

    2. Cut a spare chain and found a spare master link. 30 minutes of use on left and brand new on right. No difference in length, so that’s good it hardly stretched.

Lost one axle though and found that the knuckles fit with removing one of those steel cap and rubber sealing washers. I put o-rings to keep dirt out on that side. Can’t put wheels on yet due to no axle nut. Limiting straps that I purchased are 25”, and I thought I needed 26”. Turns out that the 25’s work since I cut the chain shorter, making it so the spool moved forward just enough that the cv angle made the joint bind at full droop… so I messed with the heim adjustments and maxxed those out on both sides and still not enough, so I lost about an inch of droop, whatever, at least it’ll work, I hope. The suspension needs to “break-in” again after the welding warped everything, making it all fit tighter.

That's looking really good. Apart from the fine tuning it's ready to go.
