It's my first build so it's rather sad VS some of the epic builds around here.
This came up for sale for $1500. At first I was thinking big tyres and a basic roll cage. 118hp and 6 gears. Think harder Jimmy!

118hp 1992 GSXR 750cc
So with a head full of sketchy plans an old seat and a few bits of wood I started. I don't have a pipe bender and coin is short so I did what I could to work out a plan.
Once I had a basic size and shape in my head I figured the rest would come to me as I went (with the help of some dowel). Hehe
So that where things are at so far. A lot of work left so I will update as I can. It was a bit of a big leap for my first tube frame build I know so don't be to hash but advice is very welcome.

I've slowly been pulling together parts as money came to hand. It's been slow going but I'm starting to pull things together.
The front end is still a work in progress but it's starting to look like it may be a goer. Bump steer ended the first gokart steering design plan and the front arms needed to be
shortened as it was to wide to fit on my car trailer. I also gave rear braking the ass for front and rear disk. The cool thing is the rear brake caliper has both a hydraulic and cable option.
Thus cable hand brake FTW!
The steering shaft is a mix of Kingchrome socket parts and the old gokart shaft welded together to make a cheap strong uni so the steering wheel is on the right angle. The rack setup has ment that bump steer will not be a problem and should give good steering control.
The shocks are height, spring pre load and gas adjustable. At a later date if needed I can look for something more advanced but for now they should be fine.
Feel free to comment. Till next update. All dressed up and waiting for the beer to arrive.

I am like you and doing a basic build compared to those on here, but you work with what you have available.
Good luck and keep building!

That's a neat little buggy. Do you think the front spindles will be strong enough?

Best way to learn.
I'm hoping the shock loads on the front end will be offset by the tyres being at a low pressure and the coilovers actuation. However given time and use things are going to fail. It's a what and how bad guessing game at this point. All dressed up and waiting for the beer to arrive.

The rims have a really good offset so I got lucky on that one. Good luck not good planning.

I see what you mean with your wheel offset, That might be enough to correct the spindle length
