Yup, and I agree with StingrayJ (who's avatar cracks me up!) - needs a tube across the front between the towers. That WILL bend without it.Okay sounds good. I may even go to 1.25” x .065”. We will see what is available for me. Which triangle are you referring to? Is it just the triangle made as a result of adding the rear brace I have drawn in my picture?

Thank you! I’m currently at school doing my third year of Mech. Engineering so I have access to 3D printers here. This was printed on a Dremel 3D45 printer, I would say it’s an intermediate printer but does a very nice job still! I think I’m going to have to buy myself a hobby printer because it is sure fun to build stuff like this!

They are nice, simple printers to work with and build great parts!
Thank you for the congrats! It’s a grind to get through but I can finally start to see the light at the end of the tunnel going into my 4th year.

I’m looking into options to support the rack and pinion spreader bar on the steering system of my buggy. I remember someone mentioned with a wide spreader bar, there will be a lot of force on the centre bolts and that it’ll wear out the rack.
Would a linear bushing with a solid shaft running through it, with brackets on each side welded to the spreader bar work to support it? Or would a linear bearing be needed? I can’t seem to source a good sized linear bearing.
Here are a few photos of the front end.
