    Looking for older thread from blue dragon

    help looking for older post from blue dragon where he gave almost step by step on how he got reverse from the suzuki transfer case there were alot of pics to go with it. I have some but missing others. Help much appreciated. I have searched but cant find it.

    I think the MBN thread just had a link to this:

    The first change to the transfer case was to flip the input shaft over to the other side of the box. This is relatively easy as there is a provision in the casting for a PTO anyway so I simply machined through and inserted a lip seal.



    I then used 2 input shafts and a sleeve to flip the input shaft over to the other side.



    To get reverse, I replaced the LOW speed gear train with a chain and 2 sprockets, so that HIGH remains FORWARD (via 3 gears) and LOW is now BACKWARDS (via a chain).



    Same for the intermediate shaft.



    I then placed a nylon tensioner on the throw side of the chain.



    And its done. There is just enough room to do this with a 3/4 link chain. Its a bit crude, but the chain is only used in reverse and its in an oil bath so I figure it will survive !

    BUll Your the man i actually subscribed to that thread lol but kept checking and never saw any more on the set up. SWEET now gonna print and send to machine shop
