Ok so sort of a mix between a Side by Side and a Mini buggy but a little bigger so I probably should call it a "midi" Buggy as it will be built with 1 1/2 inch tubing and will have a full aluminum body and 4 wheel drive.
I will probably end up calling it a Midi buggy because not as small as your average mini buggies but not bigger than the Hyabusa mini buggies so sort of a Mid size buggy between everything.

I am just building the frame based off my adult mini buggy or the MK2 mini buggies that I build but with some changes. 1 1/2 tubing, wider floor section and mid section for the drive line to pass up the center, wider for the motor and transfer case and a little higher sides and mostly that is about it. At only 11 feet long it is not huge and with approximatley a 90 inch wheel base it is not big that's for sure. But it will be 4 wheel drive.

This buggy would have been a blast this past weekend at Truck Haven at the Buggy Bash.

I am just building the frame so I will not give out all the details and let the owner do a walk through as he builds it himself.
Here is my part and what I have so far.

Frame at the bath tub stage off the fixture table as it has to be custom made for the added width and sizes added to it. Plus the 1 1/2 inch tubing.

As you can see my shop clean as I start new projects.. sorry won't stay clean for long until I finish this little 4x4 guy. Ha ha.

Ok and today the cab is pretty much done and ready for all the webbing.
I need to finish the back motor cage and then web it. Not bad. Should be all done this weekend just after the holiday.. by the way Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

    Cab almost done.

(The dash bar is not welded and is a floating bar at this point as I will allow the owner to mount it where he would like it. So I just slid it back against the b piller as a good spot to hold it.)

    Thanks for looking.

Just out of curiosity what type of drive train will be used? I'm assuming automotive in something this size, like a smallish 4x4 truck, but ya never know.

Suzuki running gear with custom axles, hubs, special transfercase and some nice custom stuff from what I have heard he is making up. I am waiting to be surprised also.
But he said Suzuki so I am guessing Samurai. But with everthing machined down and full a arms and I think swing arms in rear.

I will post tons of his work as he sends me updates etc. on this. Sound incredible and totally awesome and I can not wait to see what all he does.

Sounds like when he is done it will be an amazing little King of the Hammers buggy.

As usual, looks like fun! Does anyone know if a sammy transfer case is divorced, or can be? Tut Built sideXside...buggies, bajas, trucks... maybe I'll have you build a super quad next!

Ok here it is pretty much done.
A couple bars can not be set just yet until other things go in first so this is about as far as I think I can go.

    Thanks for looking.

OK, gotta ask: what's the deal with the very pretty pink jack stands in all the pics? My daughter wants me to get some like that.

Its an anti theft program I started. I am painting all my parts pink so no one steals them at the races.

Actually I have started buying my wife Pepper parts for her to use to work on her bug and stuff. Plus at her races we take her parts in pink etc. She has a roll away, tool cart in pink, tools, jack stands, locking 3 drawer tool box and some other DAMZL pink gear all for her racing and they are her tools I am not allowed to use them.

I normally keep her tools seperate from my tools.. not sure why they are with my stuff.. I put them back with hers.

So that is why the pink parts.
You can go to their site and see the stuff I buy for Pepper here.
The Original Pink Box | Pink tool Boxes

They also have other colors like brite lime green for you guys to keep track of your stuff.
Anyways good stuff and you can get little tool kits etc. Thats how it started for my wife and
now she has almost a complete tool set. I bought the jack stands and had them powder coated.
