Beautiful work. That battery box is a piece of art.
Heck, so is the header.
Don't ya love wiring???

Thanks mate. Wiring actually hasn't been too bad, I was expecting worse. Its actually quite relaxing compared to the constant welding/grinding and making a mess.
I have tried to start the engine but unfortunately I'm getting a tip sensor code that wont clear. Even though I've had the ECU flashed to remove it. Trying a new flash file this week and hopefully its all good.
At this point the buggy is pretty much ready for shakedown. Just a few little bits and pieces to finish off. All dependent on the thing actually starting.
Wrapped the panels in 3m shadow black. Not sure I really like it, it has a floral appearance more than camo I think.

I like it. In the pix it looks a lot like a Damascus knife blade.
I get satisfaction doing the wiring stuff. Once one understands wire diagrams & how the system works, it’s pretty straight forward.
Do you still have the sensor? (not installed)
Set it in it’s OEM position, fill with silicone (don’t move the little pendulum), let dry and plug it back in. If nothing else, it’s worth a shot.
Heck, plug it in and hold it in the OEM orientation and see if you get life. If you do then do the silicone thing.

I do have the sensor still. I installed it and was able to trip it, and get readings of the sensor angle. Once tripped , I was able to clear the code. This is happening even after the tip sensor has been removed from the ecu.
However there seems to be another code (different number) that is also meant to be lean angle sensor and cannot be cleared. There is also an exup valve code showing which also cannot be cleared, however this bike didn't even have an exup valve.
I'd say the only reason the pump wont prime is this second lean angle sensor code.
Chatting with the guy that did my flash tune, it may be the wrong flash file, or build region. Hopefully when I get it back the problem is resolved and I can take it for a shakedown.

Bit of an update:
Turns out the flash killed my ECU. I luckily got a replacement, had the immobilizer matched to my key and it fired right up. Very happy moment for me.
Managed to take it out for a test run on the weekend. Can't even describe how good that was. Struggled with cooling, boiled the coolant twice. So going forward I am replacing the thermo fan with something better/more CFM and wiring it so its on with ignition. Switching to engine ice and also making up a bit of a scoop to direct more air into the radiator. See how that goes.

Great news on the ecu. Never heard of a flash killing an ECU before. Very odd.
Sounds like your a few cooling tweaks away from where I want to be.All dressed up and waiting for the beer to arrive.

Aparently this particular ecu is prone to it unfortunately. Basically $600 down the drain, getting a key paired to a new ecu is not a cheap excercise.

Just what you need.
At least you should get some seat time once the cooling is sorted. All dressed up and waiting for the beer to arrive.
