    With the R1 and Busa being so close in HP and the R1 being so much more affordable.....why is everyone so Busa crazy? Is the aftermarket product supply just better for the Busa?

    It's all about the numbers. *The Busa makes more HP, so it's the coveted powerplant.

    I was comparing specs the other day....saw an R1 with 172 or 3. and the Busa is 175HP right? Is 2 or 3 more HP worth double the cost?

    the 2005 has 180HP. more than the Busa.

    I can't find a spec for the R1. But I thought torque wasn't as important in these applications. I did notice the Busa makes its power at a lower RPM.

    torque is very important IMO..

    Thats pretty sweet but I don't think too many people out here are going to be buying new motors. I was just trying to justify the (used prices) 4K compared to the 2K. For a mini I think they are both too big. You just die faster lol.
