So I've been looking around, and I can't seem to find CVT's for the higher power small engines (B&S Vanguard, Honda GX630 engines), I was looking at the EBK pics and found what I think is the Primary drive clutch, but im not sure, and it's only rated to 18hp, and stock i'm going to be running 22Hp, so any sugestions? Looking for one that can hold up to around 25-35Hp, for a GX630 with a few mods. Lots I'm seeing are golf cart clutches, but none in the 25-35Hp range, only 8-18Hp.
Thx

So you are looking for something like the 94c Duster, Comet 780, 790. Team Industries, CVTECH, Gaged CVT are companies that come to mind for CVTs in that range if you want something more modern. However the driver and driven pulleys for the 94c and the 780 run about $200 each. The newer ones run about $1100. Also the aforementioned companies do not usually list prices on their websites and I think you have to call them for pricing. I've also looked for CVTs for this power range and these are the o ly ones I've found that'll work.

Just a note, Gaged CVTs are great initially but over time do wear out quickly since these CVTs are made more for drag.

I've been running the Comet Duster clutches for years on a Briggs V-twin (and now a Predator engine) and they've held up really well. They make different models of the driver clutch. Make sure it's the one for a 1-inch shaft, not a tapered shaft.
On the driven clutch, also get the version for a 1-inch shaft. I had the driven clutch for the 3/4-inch shaft and the jackshaft eventually gets bent.

I've seen the 5/8" jackshafts get bent and heard to go with the 3/4" to avoid that. So should one try to find one that has like a 7/8c jackshaft driven?

FYI on TEAM Industries...
I spoke to them directly a couple years back and was told that they (TEAM Ind.) were no longer selling primary's to the general public, only making for manufacturers. Their secondary's are available to the public through their distributors. It used to be Venom Products.

So not 3/4'' bore, what about this kit, even though it has the 3/4'' bore? https://www.gopowersports.com/gopowe...it-18-to-30hp/
If not, I'll buy separately and use the Comet 780 Driver and 790 Driven, both 1" bore, 1-3/16'' belthttps://www.minibuggy.net/forum/proj...tml#post332474 <--- Current Build

They seem to hold up well. Probably one of the easiest to tune and maintain vs the ones I mentioned above. If you don't need the backing plate, https://www.bmikarts.com/Comet-780-S...re_p_4374.html

A bit cheaper than buying the backing plate.

Might need the backing plate, I'm not sure yet though. Do you have width's on the clutches? I know the Drive Clutch is 7.25'' Diameter, and the Driven Clutch is 8.5-9.5", but I don't have the width's, and need them for the designing / modeling stage.
