I am new to the world of fabrication and side by sides in general. I recent purchased a custom side by side and got a used engine for it. I started to use a thick piece of metal plating to try and fabricate a mounting plate to the frame of the side by side, but quickly identified i need to expand my arsenal of tools. I am seeing mounting plates online, and am have difficulties identifying one that can work for my specific engine. Can anyone please help guide me to a engine mounting plate or kit that will work for my particular engine (303447-1278-e1). i am looking for something more on a beginners level, basically a plate that i can use heavy bolts to mount the engine to a plate and said plate to my frame...Let me know if any other info would be helpful, THANKS

According to the model number, that's a Briggs and Stratton engine. Industrial engines generally use the same bolt pattern so that you can replace your old engine with a newer model or even a different brand. Any mounting plate that's compatible with an industrial engine should work.
Years ago, I upgraded a go kart that had a Tecumseh engine with a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard and it bolted right up.

You'll need an engine plate that has a 7 11/16" x 4 1/16" bolt pattern, if that part number is a Vanguard v-twin as google says it is. I'd check GoPowerSports or BMI karts, and/or give both a call to see if they can get you one. BMI usually has an expensive shipping cost.
