I would like to build one with a chevy small block but when I do that it will more than likely be a full size 4 seater to help keep the front wheels on the ground. Mainly because I don't think I could bring my self to build a small block that would only make 4 or 500 hp if I do a small block it would be at least 800 to 1000hp but that's just the drag racer in me lol

Ok so you got me thinking and I started looking and I found this company sand rocket they sail the blue print for a 4 seater front engine red rail and I got to thinking I could build this for a fraction of the price since I have a forged blown 383 and power glide sitting in my garage with no home... have you guy heard of them and if so what do you think... sorry admin I probably should have started whole new thread

No go on the sand rocket, pretty limited use, and visibility. I know they use some sort of jaguar rear end with independent suspension, supposed to be hard to find parts.

HAHA!! Yeah.
That frint engine, long front end would kinda suck in the dunes. Imagine going up a good size dune, and all you see is sky, until the front crests the top of the dune. Especially if its your first time over the dune not knowing if there is a drop off, another vehicle. BUT, if your riding area is more flat and rolling, that layout would be KILLER! Possibly could use an 8.8 from a T-Bird, a GM center from a Corvette, or the before mentioned really narrow solid mounted 9". In the front engine configuration, you could shorten the front end, and at this point it would almost be a pre-runner truck layout. LOL. I like the way you are thinking!

So 2 weeks ago in Denver I saw a Motous drive by. Did not sound like I expected it too. Very quite and smooth sounding. A far cry from the cackle of a Scat V4.
