I have an 07 Suzuki GSX R750 for my AR 51 and would like others opinions on whether to eliminate the Exhaust control valve mechanism.

On the 1000 I eliminated mine. They say it helps with torque by creating back pressure at lower rpm's.
If you run a Supertrapp or tunable muffler with discs you can play around with these to increase or decrease back pressure. If you decide to eliminate it you will need to google for instructions on doing it right.
There are ways to trick the computer so you don't get an error code light on the speedo.
Google a few because some years are different. Some eliminate the servo completely and others alter the servo pulley leaving the servo functional. I removed mine completely and had to clip a wire at the ECU.
If I remember correctly on some years the servo has to remain.

Tuneable supertrapp is what I ordered. I will google and see what I come up with. Thanks for your opinion Rick.

I am considering the same with my XK1000 build, from what I read, there is little benefit. It was really done for noise abatement and emissions. Dyno tests showed marginal difference, if any.

From what I found, Pin 5 from the ECO needs to be removed (07/08 GSXR 1000), is that what you did for your rail?

I know that one pin was pulled from ECU.
