Okay, I've got it going - Minibuggy now can host photos.

I'll see what's involved in getting things a bit more streamlined if I can and let everyone know about changes.

So to post a pic you'll have to upload to a new site:

    click here ---> MBN's Picture Host<---

I don't know if you'll have to create an account or not. During installation it makes me an administrator so I'm not sure what non-admin gets to see. Someone let me know if you have to "join", please.

Once you get on the site, upload a pic.

Click on the pic and then right click and "COPY IMAGE ADDRESS"

Come back here to MBN, select the "Insert Image" icon (one that looks like a picture frame with the little black corner boxes), select "FROM URL" and paste the image address you just copied into the bar.

Make sure you UNCHECK the little box that says "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" then hit the OK button. It should paste the image into your post.

A couple rules we need to try to follow please (and I'll get these things dialed in as we move along - all new to me at the moment):

Pic size - Please don't post anything larger than 1000 pixels in either vertical or horizontal. I've been using the square option on my iPhone and then setting all the pix to 1000 pixels and it seems to work pretty well.

Pic type - PLEASE only use this hosting for MBN related pictures.

Don't come in and start posting pix of your cute bunny rabbit (unless it's driving something) or a sunset (unless there's a mini-buggy in it) or that sort of stuff. In other words, please don't abuse the host.

I reserve the right to remove anything that's rude, crude or socially unacceptable. I've always been open minded about things but let's keep it quality.
MBN has always prided itself on being family friendly and I want to keep it that way.

If you'd like to try it out, go ahead and post something up on this thread and it can be non-MBN related here - I wanna see if it works so let's see that bunny driving something.

I couldn't get it to work. I saw no link to upload, so I clicked login. It kept coming up "invalid ID" when I would try to create an account.
    I race, therefore I am

I was having the same issue. Not sure what’s going on.

Found this error log. Not quite sure how to get people's MBN passwords to work with the host program yet. Gimme time. Headed to Buttonwillow for a track weekend so I'll be a bit absent on/off over the weekend.

this pretty much seems like a different approach to the same method that's worked all along? I used to use the "upload image" post the thread reply with that, then click on the image,steer4.jpg copy its url then use "insert image" and paste the url into the thread in the spot in the text that i wanted it. otherwise it would stay at the bottom without the second step.

This was done using just the insert image and i can move the pic anywhere in the reply i want. Or are you looking to get away from using this method to avoid the load the main site has to handle?
