Thanks Justin. Appreciate it! Your Shotgun is there and on Pinterest too. The red chassis is awesome.

Am slightly looking forward to seeing the MV4R in the flesh!!!
Will post heaps of pics and start a couple of build threads once the gear arrives.

Lee, Brian and the guys at Motus are really helpful and are super keen to get their motors into Rorty buggies. They are all American made which is great for you guys. They are pretty expensive (understatement?) for the DIY guys but Motus/Katech have made it bullet proof and consumable parts and service are designed to be easy and cheap.

They have a fully programmable ECU, wiring loom and fly by wire throttle included and fully programmable TFT instrument displays are coming as well along with some other bits.
I have to fab intake plenums (carbon experience anyone?) and exhaust but otherwise its all there. I'll do a little dyno/track work to tune it to the intake and exhaust but Motus think 200hp should be about right. Its the torque of these motors that forced me into it (they sound okay too!) we're targeting 130ftlbs or 175Nm+.

Still waiting for the motors to arrive in LA to be loaded in the container. They had a slight issue with a custom bolt and wanted to sort it before sending them so far away.
Have some of Dan's RPM boxes, Wilwood brakes, steel, tyres, shocks etc all waiting...
Setting up the shop in the mean time. Speaking to JGS about one of his machines, they look great.

Also potential looking for US based partners to reduce the shipping costs across the Pacific. If any one is interested or has ideas message, email or PM me.

I'm having the R21, R16 and R11 certified by independent engineers to CAMS (confederation of Aust Motorsport) regs. That means they can be used in competition here without modification. CAMS refers to FIA and other international regs which should help for those competing in these areas - happy to help anyone with compliance.

Would love some feedback on what people want to see in new models. 2 seats seem to be very popular and the SxS (what's the attraction?). I like the look of the Ariel Nomad but it needs a V4 and a DIY kit! Would the ability to road register be an advantage? Here in Aus trails are limited. Road reg would open up a lot of ground like state forests, beaches etc.

Managed to slap this together over the last month or so. Just waiting for the tube to get started on an R21 and R16.
The base is all done. I need to have the top squared and engraved with a 50mm grid or marked at 50mm centres on a water jet table (hard to find one big enough - 4m x 2m). Then I'll drill holes where I need them for jigs with a magnetic base drill press. Drilling the whole thing on a 100mm grid was over $4k! The plate seems pretty flat but will have to see once I have it up the right way and leveled. I'm going to try the laser level to check it for flatness.
