Nice Yoshi. It is always good to be prepared. I hope I never need it but my bear spray comes in a nickle plated package. A Hornady 265 gr. round nose slug from a .44 mag may not drop a grizzly in it's tracks but a couple might persuade him to find an easier meal. The range is much better(past 100 yds. in the right hands), and it is more useful in the woods than a can of pepper spray.

You are absolutely right. I would climb Everest to avoid a conflict with a brown bear. But in the worst case scenario, I would want to be able to defend myself and my family. I would be extemely hesitant to discharge a firearm at any animal I don't have a tag for. There would have to be a life on the line. And the fact of the matter is I don't spend much time in Grizzly territory.
