Stinger mini buggies?

Wondering if anyone has seen this site, www.outbackmotorsports.ca . They have some interesting looking buggies and utv. Some good pictures for ideas. Larger tubing is used instead of the typical jailhouse multible jumble of tubing that typically comes from China.
Appearances look familiar, ST 2 ? Rear suspension like Extreme Baja Karts? Utv looks like a mini Hummer. *American Built ? www.4stinger.com

I too thought as you, however upon inspecting several, I changed my mind. *IMO, I see it as an upgraded go-kart. *I suggest you go find one and inspect it for yourself, then form your own conclusions.

I usually like to see the tubes welded all the way around.........

Geez.. I thought you were going to comment on the steering, but spotting a missing weld, good eye!!

Ya but there notching and tube fitting is top notch....







Just do some homework on them and Really Check them out.
Thats all I can say.

Are you sure the weld is missing or is it just to high above the line to see?

Either way I guess I am a little wondering about the flip roll cage (single seater) and the "Slam latch" Say you happen to get lost from the group. Trying to catch up you miss a turn and flip and it catches fire due to something being hit by a rock or branch. If you CANNOT squeeze thru that opening your gonna be a crizzpy critter as getting out is out of the question... Bill

No it actually looks missing.
A tube is fish mouthed and would circle around the bar so you could see if it was welded.

I went to the bigger pic and ya it looks missed.
It is just a pic and all but I agree from this pic it looks missed.

As for the slam latch I agree... I dont like that.

Its just sort of a bigger go kart. In my opinion.

Well, I would have buuut...... A long time ago on a truck that was space challenged I used a rack in a similar fashion. Only it was mounted horizontally and driving a swing-set * * Then there was the hydraulic ram mounted on the other side driving the other swinger........ * It worked but Dog was it unelegant.

If you go to the "Stinger" home page and look at the semi side view of the red one the tube going up looks like it is actually very high above the tube in question. I am thinking the tube is not fishmouthed around the tube but just seems to graze the top of it. I cannot get the whole photo gallery part to download ALL the pics. It seems they are still working on it or my puters falsing out on it? But look at the red frame on the home page where the tubes meet. Its quite high above it it seems. Bill
