Been working on the Trophy Truck the past two days. *Two of us spent almost 5 hours removing two 5/8" bolts on the rear end yesterday. *Both of the bolts had seized up in a set of 1.25" heim joints and hi-mis spacers. *BIG STUFF - especially compared to our cars.
Got the truck finished up about 2:00 this afternoon and loaded it up for some morning testing. *Off to Ensenada after that, provided the testing is good. *The plan is to pre-run the course Tues thru Thursday, prep on Friday and race Sat. *The race is 420 miles and I'll be navigating the first 250 or so (second pit stop - some place called the grassy knoll or something like that). *Five hours of riding is enough!!!
I will hopefully have internet access in Mex - if I do, I'll try to get stuff posted. *I'm taking my helmet cam with me on a couple of the pre-runs, so hopefully I'll get some footage to upload.
Anyhow, here are some pix of the last two day's work - bad photos - I hate cell phones....

K, are you going to the pre-party at Horsepower Ranch? *I got invited by Todd and I'm still debating going. *It's kind of a drive.

Probably the easiest place to find me will be at Contingency on Friday. *The truck's heading down to Contingency row at 5:00 a.m. *We want to get through the stuff as early as possible. *500+ entries for the race is going to make for one LONG day if you're not up front.
We're staying at the Villa Marina.
Tonight I'll be a Mike's Sky Ranch... *The Dessert Assasins crew (Cameron Steel's group) is supposed to be putting on some sort of party - I keep hearing of men in dresses and I'm scared.
Don't know about the party at Horsepower - like you said, it's sort of out of the way. *It'll be up to Pete.
