More stuff I've been up to that's not MR related (like I said in the other thread, I've been busy...)

So I got invited to go into Baja in Feb with two other RZRs and a handful of bikes along with four of the members here. I'll let them out themselves if they want to.

We've a group that has absolutely extensive Baja knowledge (where to get tacos, bottled water and alcohol). There was a quote about the Wizard: "He knows Baja better than the beer isle of the local grocery store."

The plan is to drop in at Tecate on the American side in the off road stuff and cruise for 400-500 miles over four days. We'll go from taco stand to taco stand and stay at the local hotels (I'm told quality places with security).

Time to get the R&R Tour Bus in shape and ready to run. Considering our XP41K has 9200 miles on it (new engine on New Year's day and a full chassis going thru) I'm still wary.

Plus it needs a few "Baja mods" - I'm FINALLY getting seats! Robyn likes the stockers. Can't wait until she gets into a suspension seat so I can say "See! I told you we needed these!"

Got a 3 gallon Rotopax fuel jug on order, waiting on a correct size tire for the spare.

The new stator coil and rectifier/regulator are supposed to show any moment now - this is a known issue on the RZRs. Ours likes to throw an odd code, good friend and guru mechanic says this is 99% the cause of the CEL I get just about every time we go out and it tosses into limp mode. Key cycle fixes the issue but I can't have this happening out in the middle of the Mexican peninsula.

I've also wanted a real jack setup forever. Been carrying around a little screw style and it's worthless, wimpy, hard to get in place safely - you know, junk. So flyerrider shows me this setup from Solo Motorsports that holds a Harbor Freight 1.5 ton jack in place. Ordered that and a jack.

Crap, this trip's getting spendy.... but it's on NEEDED stuff, right???

So I spent a couple days getting the jack mount mounted:

The kit (and I have on on order for the MR - this thing's tits.):

Jack receiver mounted on the spare tire rack:

Spare tire rack back where it lives.

Jack handles are on the underside on the left - had to make one new end.

    Tucks up nice and tightly:

    Race ready:

    I'm lost for words.

What a life you do lead.
All dressed up and waiting for the beer to arrive.

And what a very, very blessed life it has been.
I wake up and say “Thank you” to it every morning.
