I'm looking to build a bump steer gauge. Google search revealed a multitude of examples (homemade & manufactured). Has anyone ever made one ? If so, what have you found to work or not work.

    Thanks in advance.

Made one about 20 yrs ago with 2 small pieces of plywood and a couple hinges....but I can't remember the specifics.

whatever you do, put it on rollers so things can settle and pivot freely.

Appreciate the picture & response(s). Nice set up you got there.

Yeah...When I first started tinkering with the front end I noticed that the rake really moved the wheel(s) rearwards a couple of inches and 10" of travel. All the units I was seeing on-line had the floor unit stationary and most only had 3" travel in each direction. can't see them working for most off road suspensions.
