    Man, 20 years ago. Wow.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat too.

My report from Yellow Dog Racing of that night.

Other than getting to fly an RC heli inside the King Dome, Seattle sucked.

    http://yellowdogracing.com/round_11.htm

I was at my wit's end by this time. Tired, worn from 15K miles in just a few weeks, all the stress and highs and lows.

The Pilot was being a bitch. The main engine went squeak, poof-ka-boom and I put my backup powerplant in. Just a quarter turn around any of the case cover bolts that held near the starter and the end of the starter would bind against the cases. The Pilot wouldn't start.

I was trying to drag the back end of the Pilot into the trailer to work on it and if you didn't get the thing just PERFECTLY aligned and then pick the back up to get full droop the car wouldn't fit into the trailer. I'd tugged and pulled and yanked and finally lost my cool and pretty much went ballistic. I let loose a full blown sailor swearing barrage of words as I went into caveman mode to get the *!@#$%^& Pilot into the trailer (it worked). As I stood there, bright red, breathing like I'd just run sprint race a camera and a guy with a mic come walking around the back of the trailer next to me.
    "You alright?"
    "NO! I'M PISSED!"
"You gonna be over it soon?"
    "Yeah, I'm calming down now."
"Okay, cool. We're (it was ESPN) doing an interview with (can't recall who in the trailer next to me) and we'd ask that you not do that while we're filming. We got the whole thing on audio during the interview and can't use that now."
    I still laugh about that.

    lol! yeah that's good!

    Video would have been awesome!

Denise Whitmanns pilot had some super twitchy steering but she still held them off!

That thing launched out of some of the corners.
