Hmm, I have direcTV and haven't missed a race. K, you can also watch it on channel 13 in spanish, I believe it is re-broadcast from Mexico. It's somewhat nice as there are no commercial breaks.

When they are broadcast live I will swap between them when CBS goes to commercial.

Mini - Did you have a chance to go sit in all the bleachers/grandstands? My second favorite location was the bleachers before turn 11, close to the east end. You could watch the cars come thru the S section. TV doesn't do justice to the climb up to turn one.

I did walk around the entire track during practice so see the different areas, although I didn't actually sit in the other bleachers. I agree there are some other vantage points that are pretty cool to watch from. I watched the first round of the Porsche Supercup from Turn 1 (top of the hill), however again all the good action happened at Turn 12 where my assigned seat was.

Ugh, I haven't watched F1 for a long time, but watched it religiously in the Senna/Prost era. Yes, they used to be loud. I remember standing at the exit of the second hairpin at Montreal in 1990. The sound pressure was hammering my chest and my ears actually started hurting. I was truly amazed, standing there watching this, that someone would willingly strap themselves into something with that much anger. I remember the Hondas being the loudest and the Ferrari screeching like banshees. Maybe Lamborghini was in the field at the time too, making those and the Ferraris the only V12s. (Also snuck into some garages and took one of the best pictures I have ever seen of Senna.)

would love to see some of those senna pics! I still have a working copy of his grand prix game for Sega. Really hoping the NJ/NY street circuit comes through, will be me first shot at being able to attend a race. Been a fan since the mid 80s and have almost all the races from about 89 to present on vhs and dvd.

Bahrain has got to be the best track on the F1 calendar! Another very entertaining race. Sainz did a big bone head to take out the Canadian rookie. Sainz said, "He turned in like I wasn't there". That's because you weren't when he turned in, numb nuts!

This could be a very competitive year!

Well, this season looks very competitive again. Red Bull wasn't even on my radar today. And Alonso passes Vettel?! Even with better tires, Fernando's got to be very happy.

That turned out to be a killer last third of the race.
Man, Kimi just can’t get a break. Sets track record in Q3 then Vettel snakes pole out from under him again.
Verstappen slamming the sides of the other guys - settle down, dude.
