I built this single seater about 8 years ago. It only has a 600 cc powerplant and maybe 13" of travel, but the current owner in Australia seems to be making the most of it, lol..

The guy's making the most of a pretty cool buggy.

Looks like a great combination. Only 13 inches of travel seems fairly capable.
    Thanks Ironknot

13" would be very modest, it prob. has less, lol.......

Since everything is backwards down there (you know like water rotation in the toilets) would that not make a 13" travel buggy a 31" travel down there???

DEF looks like hes having fun.
Now that NOBAMA has PROVEN he is the absolute WORST president in the history of history Jimmy Carter can thank him for stealing the dunce crown.

Lets hope the next guy repeals NObama care along with the rest of the stupid crap this blight on our windshield has done.

I somehow don't think it works that way, lol

He needs to add some oil to the airshocks and possible have the valving redone. It wasn't really designed around a jumping only application, but it seems that's all he does with it, lol.

He makes the jump bigger each week in his back yard. He is actually building a huge steal ramp right now and will eventually use the dirt jump as the landing side. You can see it to the right of the screen at the :35 mark

This video was from a few weeks ago when the jump was a little smaller, take note of the flipflops, lol...... sxs buggy jump bigger huge rxr madbro sinister - YouTube

Just looking at the video and listening, he definitly isn't lifting off the gas upon take off, so would you say slower rebound in the rear? I loosened my rebound last year, and the nosediving got worse.
    Nowhere near the desert.

Stiffer compression for the front so it stays higher as it leaves, slower rebound for the rear so it stays lower as it leaves. The bucking is partly caused by the rear rebound kicking out fast after it compresses. Slowing the rebound would keep the wheel up more and would then fall back down after it left the jump to absorb the impact.

Perfect example right here, watch how slow the rear wheels drop after take off. They don't fall back down till roughly half way through the air.....

Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't even notice when I watch this the first time. Didn't even need to slow it down to see it. I think I need shock work so I have been reading everything I can to see what to look for.

    Thanks

    Great clips Yosh!

With the width of the buggy a arms it looks like it could pull alot more then 13 if neededed. But great buggy and it looks like its keeping up with the beat down that guy is giving it.

I think shock valving is in relation to what your doing with the vehicle. Yosh gave some great points on the setup. Jumping and high speed through whoops are 2 different valving setups. Over here we do alot more long distance runs through the whoops so Ive always been a believer of the rebound being close to the speed of gravity.
This is one of my favorite videos. This is an area about an hour outside of LA and you cant really tell how big these whoops are because this truck just sucks them up! But they are a good 3 feet plus in some sections. Alot of cars test here because its Narly and they have alot of races here also.
