    ? Ever flown in a commercial airline in the past 60 years? Almost all aluminum!

    As long as it's done correctly and fatigue life is taken into account and monitored/followed I'd have no issue with it, Always been a big fan of it. matter of fact, i wonder how far i pushed the lifespan of my 1980-90s cannondale mountain bikes --i still occasionally air them out ...
    corvettes use an aluminum chassis these days and a number of manufacturers in the past have gone that route, always worked out to be a total loss production price vs sales price (back in the 50s and earlier).

    then of course, there's the rims just a few cars out there, if any one component takes the most abuse and is the most critical to safety, that'd be it ...

    Lol about the cannondales... I had a super V 2000 that I put about 1600-1700 miles on. It never did let me down. I used to wonder how the aluminum was holding up so well.
