Well, we live on a lake near the river and after the heavy rains a month ago up north of us, we flooded. We woke up to 19"of water at the foot of the stairs (the house is up on piers) and it was coming up 3"an hour for a good part of the day. We ended up with 43.5" before it started going down. We had water from the ditch out front by the road to the creek that runs behind our houses for 10 days. We were taking my flat bottom boat 20minutes up two different roads to where we had to park, then a 20 minute drive to the office.

This is at 7 am the first morning

    8 pm the first afternoon

Day three, stairs and deck are now a dock

I'll add some video sand more photos later....

Our deck looked like an episode of hoarders, lol. I had everything like table saws, compressor and lawn/garden stuff on the deck and had the riding mower on the levee, I had the Harley and push mower in my boat house.

It wasn't bad until the tanks for the water system floated and we lost running water, that SUCKED....but we adapted and overcame.
