    My friend used to race late models. I would always pin the steering wheel on when he was putting on his belts. One race his brother in law walked him up and didn't know that I always put the pin in. It came off coming out of turn 2. He finally got it back on halfway through 3. That was the fastest lap he ever ran. But pretty scary

    Had that happen twice in old rail. Now I shake the piss outta her before I go!!

    He woulda made that hill had he not lost the wheel.

    My brother-in-law had an old Farelane he took the steering wheel nut off of and when a passenger complained about his driving he would hand them the wheel (while still rolling) and say "here, you drive". Nobody complained a second time.
