thanks proto... yeah, i realized that problem last night when i put the back part on. I could keep the gas tank on top of the engine b/c the top will be removable(thanks to two 3/4 inch tube bunges) but i'd really like to put the tank in the back, which will require a pump. i'll have to research pumps now...

    thanks Blue...

I ended up relocating the exhaust 2 inches lower tonight. tomorrow night will be the air filter relocation. once both are finished, i'll be able to put the top half on. should end up being 2-3 inches lower than i expected. good stuff.

thanks bug... i'm not sure about the weight, but it's going to be heavy(for this application, anyways). if i had to guess, i'd say maybe between 100 lbs and 150 lbs...

small update... had a couple of issues with where the b pillar was going to go(air filter was in the way) and the height of the roof(too high making it look un-proportional)... so...

i took some 1.25 tubing and started cutting it...

then, took some flat bar and traced the gasket and started cutting to fit the 1.25 tubing...

    after welding and some grinding:

so, the air filter went from this:

    to this:

and of course, this made me realize i could go lower with my exhaust than i already have... so, i started chopping it up again too... and ended up with both a lot lower:

once that was finished, i started on the upper half tubing(pictured in above pic)... still need to notch the back pieces so it will sit lower and the angles will look right on the front and rear pillars.

    view from front:

    that's it for now..

the 1.25 piece is .120 wall... and most of the 3/4 inch tubing is .120 wall. it's what i had sitting in my shop. i also used alittle 3/4 inch with thinner walls... wanted this thing to be bullet proof.
