What is the best way to do this? Plastic or metal.

    Thanks

I've seen both, some guys cut down a plastic garbage can for fenders or you can hit up a trailer supply and get a metal fender (cut to fit) I think the trailer fender are a cheaper option. I guess it depends on where you source a garbage can.

    LOL!
You can always argue "They were in the trash area, I thought you were throwing them away!"

Ever try to actually throw away a garbage can? They won't take them... I've had to cut them up and put them in the new can a couple of times.

Tractor Supply may be a decent source for metal fenders.

How about the plastic fenders from the newer beetles?

Easy to cut and modify, lots of them in the junk yard.

I guess it depends on your style of buggy.

Tractor supply fenders are expensive here.

I want to do the DS650 quad style...turn with the wheels.

Looks like they do but they look heavy and expensive!

You could make a pivot point on the a arm and then a mount to the spindle that would turn it...kind of what I am thinking.

Or, you could mount directly to the spindle but mine doesn't look big enough...I guess it depends on how big the mounting arm is and the weight.

Not expensive here, check the link. Obviuosly anything can be cut down to fit how you like. When I looked them they were big enough that one could be cut in half and now you have 2!
