I do not have either of these machines, however, no literature I've seen recently gives the gearbox final ratios for either one. With them all having a gear case for their reduction and not a chain final (as far as I've seen), figured I'd ask for other inquiring minds.

I wanna say I read on here somewhere that the Fl350 was like 9.8 to 1 I would assume the fl400 would be the same or very close. No idea what range the 250 would be in.

Cool. Wasn't sure, when I tried just doing searches online for it, nothing really pops up directly for it, seems to be buried.

If you could find a service manual online it would probably have the ratio.

I downloaded the service manual PDF and far as I've found so far, no mentioning of the gearbox ratios yet. It's over 200 pages, but it seems to mostly be a maintenance breakdown rather than a technical readout of it. Should mention that this is for the 1985 FL350 and not the FL250 or the FL400 Pilot.

Ended up finding the stuff for the FL350. It's on page 1-4 in general information in the service manual. Has the Salisbury CVT ratios listed as well as the final ratios.

    Forward is 2.92:1-0.63:1
    Reverse is 2.92:1-2.04:1
    Final reduction ratio Forward 9.99:1
    Final reduction ratio reverse 8.79:1

The FL250 is a bit elusive, have the service manual but not where it was for the FL350.

    For the FL400 Pilot
    Forward and Reverse is 3.00:1-.70:1
Final reduction forward ratio is 9.857:1
Final reduction reverse ratio is 9.884:1
