    Not sure if anyone is still trolling these Odyssey threads, but I know there are a few guys on here who've done some good conversions to them.

    My buddy just picked up an FL350 and he wants me to do a long travel conversion. Gonna do the front first until I can research what can be done with the rear while on a budget.

    Question: On the front LT conversions, are you guys using quad spindles or using custom spindles?
    Im worried that the tapered quad spindles wont hold up to the weight of the FL. I have a few sets of yamaha spindles and hubs but Im not sure I want to bother with them or just put in the extra effort to make custom spindles.

    A few guys have used the TRX450R arms and spindles with success.

    The two major pain points of the conversion are [1] the resulting width of the front end, and [2] getting the steering setup right.

    The 450r stock a-arms & spindles worked really good on my buddies fl350. The onlyproblem we had was the steering rods hitting the frame. Ended up running jackshafts to each spindle(his idea). I wanted to run a rack but it all worked in the end. I'll see if I can find a link.

    when i did my conversion i used everything from the trx 450. come on over to pilot odyssey.com i have a thread on it and pretty much show everything i did to it
