FL350 - What do you think

I found this fl350 not to far from my house

    https://charlotte.craigslist.org/snw/4859176344.html

Do you think this is a fair price for it? He does not have a title for it, will provide a bill of sale. Should you buy it with just a bill of sale and no title? Will come down about 100, but that's all.

    Thanks for looking

That would go for about $1800-$2000 here in south FL. That's assuming the compression is good, the brakes work, and the tank isn't full of rust.

The aftermarket wheels look good but usually detract from the value, the fuel pump is aftermarket, clutch is aftermarket, and it's missing the safety harness and snorkel. Other than that it looks pretty stock.

That's good but still seems about a $1000 too high. I can't really speak for the market in SC though.

Check with your DMV regarding the title. In Utah, anything manufactured before 1988 doesn't receive a title and a bill of sale is fine. Anything after that date would need to have a title as part of the sale.

As far as price? Hard to say. He's definitely asking on the high side. Locally, someone has an FL350 for sale for $2000, but it looks rougher and needs some work.

If I were buying one, I would feel more comfortable spending $2500 for it, but they may also be fairly rare in your area, so this might be your best opportunity.

That's the kicker right there. If you never see one for sale in your area then you almost have to buy it..lol

Called the DMV, ATV's in NC don't have titles. I have found three others in the area. Once for $2400 - not running in last two years, rotted gas tank, another for 2900 in similar shape, and then one for $4500, which it is in excellent shape but way over priced in my opinion. Well and went and looked at it and ended bringing it home with me. Started right up even in the 28 degree weather, everything appeared to work properly other than the emergency brake. Took it for a test drive, it was fun to drive.

even if it ends up needing work, its way cheaper than building and some parts are still available if you keep your eyes open.

    enjoy

You may know this, but 350s are sensitive to carb jetting. If it's jetted for warm weather, you can overheat it by running it in the cold.

Congrats. Make sure you check all the Head bolts and the 4 bolts that hold the cylinder on. I find them loose on almost all the 2 strokes I buy used. A leak there could cost you a motor.
