If the $100+ price for a spun aluminum gas tank is a little pricey for your buggy, then you might want to check out a plastic fuel tank.
My current buggy has a plastic fuel tank and I've been really happy with it, but I need a larger capacity. I came across this website in my search. They have some nice fuel tanks in a variety of sizes. The tanks come in both white and black colors. The price seems fairly decent, also. They even have the fuel caps for the tanks!

You'll need to scroll down to see the list of fuel tanks. The top of the page lists a variety of carbon canisters, in the vain hope that off-road buggy builders are concerned about having their fuel system EPA compliant.
If you're looking for a real bargain, here's a 5-gallon plastic fuel tank with a gas cap for only $15. The same tank without a cap is only $10. It's posted on a Surplus Center website, so don't expect the deal to last. Still, that's incredibly cheap for a tank.

Check out both websites and see if the tank dimensions will work for your buggy.

Nice find! Reminded of the type of tank that is commonly used in stand up jetskis. They can also be found for very cheap (or free) if you know where to look.
I've got a few that can be available if anyone is interested.Polaris RAGER 570/1000 S Hybrid
